Bar Rahav was born in 1993 in Ramat Yishai

Bar Rahav was born on June 26, 1993, and grew up in Ramat Yishai. His parents were Naama and Efi, and he was the eldest of 4 siblings. He attended the Arazim elementary school, the HaYovel middle school and high school at the WIZO Nahalal youth village.

He started swimming at age 6 and joined the swimming team in Kiryat Tivon, then its water polo team. At 16 he joined the senior team and played in the national league. In the 2010/2011 season his team won both the national championship and the national cup.

He played for Israel's youth team and later for the national team in international tournaments. He took part in the qualifiers for the 2012 European Championship, held in 2010 and 2011, and scored a goal.

In March 2012 he enlisted in the IDF Combat Engineering Corps, giving up the option of athlete status. In June 2014 he completed officer training at Bahad 1. On July 19, 2014, during Operation Protective Edge, he was killed by an anti-tank missile and was later promoted to lieutenant.

He is buried in the military section of the Kiryat Tivon cemetery. A water polo tournament and a hiking trail around Ramat Yishai bear his name.
