Bezalel Shneid was born in 1977 in Netzer Hazani

Bezalel Shneid was born in 1977 and grew up in Netzer Hazani, a community in Gush Katif. He studied at the Yatir pre-military academy.

He joined the IDF in 1996 and volunteered for the Shaldag Unit, where he served as a fighter and later as a team commander. He then moved to the Nahal Brigade and held command posts there. In 2013 he took command of Battalion 932 and led it until 2015.

He was operations officer of the Fire Formation from 2015 to 2017. He then commanded the Sharon Formation and the Jordan Valley Brigade. From 2021 he led the Home Front Command's Northern District until he retired from the IDF in 2024.

He now commands a reserve combat officers course. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and management from Azrieli College and a master's in Middle East studies from the University of Haifa. He lives in Kfar Etzion, is married to Galia and has 6 children.
