Itay Ben Horin

Itay Ben Horin was born in 1978 in Herzliya

Itay Ben Horin was born in May 1978 and grew up in Herzliya. As a youth he played basketball for Bnei Herzliya and was a spokesman for the Working Youth in the city.

He enlisted in the IDF in 1996 and served in the Maglan unit as a fighter and a commander. He holds a law degree and a master's degree in public policy from Tel Aviv University, and completed an executive course at Harvard University through the Maoz organization.

In 2000 he founded the Hitorerut movement, which campaigned for drafting yeshiva students and for reservists' rights. He later founded the Israel Aheret youth movement and co-founded the Forum for Equal Burden, and he petitioned the High Court of Justice against the Tal Law.

After his discharge he worked at the GCS firm, joined Arad Communications in 2002 and interned at the Defense Ministry legal department in 2004. In 2008 he founded the firm Ben Horin Alexandrovich with Tal Alexandrovich. He ran campaigns for the Labor Party in 2013 and Blue and White in 2019, and in 2023 advised groups opposing the judicial reform.

He lives in Kfar Sirkin, is married to Liran Avishar and has 2 children.
