Michael Kabesa was born in 1978

Michael Kabesa was born on December 19, 1978, and grew up in Hatzor HaGlilit as the elder of two brothers. He attended the Honi HaMe'agel elementary school and then the Hispin high school yeshiva. He was a youth counselor in Bnei Akiva.

He served in the Golani Brigade, reaching the rank of captain and later major in the reserves. While studying, he worked in the security division of the Shin Bet, in the unit that protects officials at the Prime Minister's Office. He holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences and a teaching certificate from Safed Academic College, and an MBA from Ruppin Academic Center.

He was chief of staff at the Ministry for the Development of the Negev and Galilee and founded the Hatzor Development Fund. He was elected to the Hatzor HaGlilit council in 2013 and later served as deputy council head for education and sports. He also manages the regulation and business continuity department at the Tnuva group.

The 2023 council election was postponed to February 2024 because of the Swords of Iron war, during which he served in the reserves and fought in the battle to free Be'eri. He won the election against council head Shimon Suissa with about 51.1% of the vote. In July 2026 he left Likud and joined Yisrael Beiteinu. He is married to lawyer Mirit Alush Kabesa and has 3 children.
