Niven Abu Rahmoun

Niven Abu Rahmoun was born in 1981 in Reineh

Abu Rahmoun was born in 1981 in Reineh, a town in northern Israel, to Arab Christian parents. She joined Balad as a high school student in 1998.

She earned a bachelor's degree in political science and communications. She then studied for a master's degree in political science at Bar-Ilan University.

From 2008 to 2018 she taught civics at the high school in Bu'eine Nujeidat. From 2007 she served on Balad's central committee, and in 2016 she placed first in the committee elections. She ran 21st on the Balad list in 2013 and 19th on the Joint List in 2015, and did not win a seat either time.

In August 2018 she entered the Knesset under a rotation agreement, replacing Wael Younis, after a dispute between Balad and Hadash over the agreement. She did not run in the April 2019 elections. She is married with two children and lives in Bu'eine Nujeidat.
