Ram Bergman was born in 1970 in Rishon LeZion
Ram Bergman was born in 1970 in Rishon LeZion and grew up there. His father had a kitchen store, and his mother worked as a secretary at Carmel Winery. As a teenager he played football with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
After the army, he joined a film course at the Open University on a friend's suggestion. He left his studies after working on a short film and decided to focus on producing in the United States.
In 1991 he moved to New York and then Los Angeles, following his brother, drummer Tal Bergman. He had no formal training and produced his first film within the year. With producer and director Dana Lustig he founded a company that made about 15 low budget films.
In 2004 he met Rian Johnson and helped him make Brick at a much lower cost. They went on to make The Brothers Bloom, Looper, The Last Jedi and Knives Out together. He also produced Natalie Portman's A Tale of Love and Darkness and Don Jon.
In September 2019 he and Johnson launched T-Street, a company for original film and TV content funded by Valence Media. He also owns and founded Ram Bergman Productions.
