3. בחירה ותקופת כהונה
תיקון: תשכ״ט־2, תשנ״ט
(א)נשיא המדינה נבחר על ידי הכנסת לשבע שנים; תקופת כהונתו תיחשב לפי הלוח העברי.
(ב)נשיא המדינה יכהן תקופת כהונה אחת בלבד.
