מראה מפלס המים יותקן כך, שייראה בנקל לעין מסיק הדוד; מפלס המים המזערי המותר ייראה 30 מילימטרים לפחות מעל הקצה התחתון השקוף של המראה; מפלס המים התחתון יהיה מסומן בחץ או בסימן אחר בר־קיימא.
