בתקנות אלה –
”אות המערכה“ – אות מערכת שלום הגליל כמשמעותו בתקנות העיטורים בצבא־הגנה לישראל (אות מערכת שלום הגליל – קביעת זכאים), התשמ״ג–1983;
”התקופה הקובעת“ – התקופה שבין יום י״ד בסיון התשמ״ב (5 ביוני 1982) לבין יום י״ב בתשרי התשמ״ג (29 בספטמבר 1982).
