8. תקופת כהונת המועצה
(א)המועצה תכהן עד תום תקופת כהונתן של מועצות הרשויות המקומיות, ובאין תאריך אחיד – עד תום תקופת כהונתה של מועצת עירית חיפה.
(ב)מועצה קיימת תמשיך בתפקידה, אף אם תמה תקופת כהונתה לפי סעיף קטן (א) כל עוד לא נכנסה לתפקידה מועצה חדשה.
(ג)חברי כל מועצה חדשה ייקבעו תוך 3 חדשים אחרי יום הבחירות לרשויות המקומיות, ובאין תאריך אחיד – תוך 3 חדשים אחרי יום הבחירות למועצת עירית חיפה.
