בתוקף סמכותי לפי הסעיפים 4 ו־5 לחוק החניכות, תשי״ג–1953, אני מתקין תקנות אלה:
1. תקופת החניכות
תקופת החניכות בכריכת ספרים היא שלוש שנים.
2. גיל והשכלה מינימלים
(א)הגיל המינימלי לחניכות בכריכת ספרים הוא ארבע עשרה שנה.
(ב)ההשכלה המינימלית לחניכות בכריכת ספרים היא סיום החינוך היסודי כמשמעותו בחוק לימוד חובה, תש״ט–1949, אולם לנער שניתנה לגביו הצהרת חניכות עד כ״ג באב תשכ״ד (1 באוגוסט 1964), מספיק סיום שש שנות לימוד בכיתות א׳ עד ו׳ ועד בכלל.
3. השם
לתקנות אלה ייקרא ”תקנות החניכות (כריכת ספרים), תשכ״ב–1962“.
