2. הודעה לממונה
חייל המבקש לרכוש זכות גימלה ימסור על כך הודעה בכתב לממונה באמצעות מפקד יחידתו (להלן – הודעה) תוך ששה חדשים מהיום שבו התחיל להיעדר מהשירות או תוך ששה חדשים מיום תחילתן של תקנות אלה, הכל לפי המאוחר יותר; הממונה רשאי לקבל הודעה אף לאחר המועד האמור, אם שוכנע שהחייל איחר במסירת ההודעה מטעמים סבירים.
