10. תקופת כהונה
תקופת הכהונה של חבר המועצה הציבורית תהיה ארבע שנים, ואפשר לשוב ולמנותו לתקופות כהונה נוספות; ואולם, חבר המועצה שהתמנה לפי הוראות סעיף 5(א)(3) עד (7), יכול שימונה מחדש לתקופה אחת נוספת, ואפשר למנותו שוב לאחר הפסקה של ארבע שנים רצופות לפחות, ובלבד שלא יכהן יותר משתי תקופות כהונה נוספות לאחר ההפסקה כאמור בסעיף זה.
