1. מטרה
מטרתו של חוק זה להכיר בתרומתם של כלבים ששירתו בגופים ביטחוניים לביטחון ישראל, להצלת חיילי צבא הגנה לישראל ולשמירת שלום הציבור, ולהבטיח את רווחתם לאחר סיום שירותם כאות הוקרה על גבורתם ופועלם במילוי תפקידם.
