נעברה עבירה ובוטל בחיקוק האיסור עליה – תתבטל האחריות הפלילית לעשייתה; ההליכים שהוחל בהם – יופסקו; ניתן גזר־דין – יופסק ביצועו; ולא יהיו בעתיד עוד תוצאות נובעות מן ההרשעה.
