8. התקופה להרכבת ממשלה
לחבר הכנסת שנשיא המדינה הטיל עליו את התפקיד להרכיב ממשלה לפי סעיף 7 נתונה למילוי תפקידו תקופה של 28 ימים; הנשיא רשאי להאריך תקופה זו בתקופות נוספות, ובלבד שלא יעלו יחד על 14 ימים.
