6. מכירת האבידה
(א)אבידה שהיא נכס שעלול להתקלקל או לאבד שיעור ניכר משוויו, או שהוצאות שמירתו אינן סבירות לעומת שוויו, או אבידה שהיא בעל חיים, רשאי המוצא למכרה בדרך סבירה, וכן רשאית לעשות המשטרה, אם האבידה נמסרה לה.
(ב)המוצא לא ימכור את האבידה כאמור אלא לאחר שהודיע על כך למשטרה זמן סביר מראש והמשטרה לא דרשה למסור לה את האבידה.
(ג)נמכרה האבידה, יבוא, לענין חוק זה, הפדיון במקומה.
