1. מטרות
חוק זה מטרתו להגן על הציבור ועל הסביבה מפני השפעות של חשיפה לקרינה בלתי מייננת, ולהסדיר את העיסוק במקורות קרינה, הקמתם והפעלתם ובמתן שירות למדידת קרינה, בין השאר על ידי קביעת איסורים וחובות בהתאם לעקרון הזהירות המונעת.
