תשלומי איזון כמשמעותם בסעיף 71ב(ד) לחוק המקרקעין, התשכ״ט–1969, ששולמו לבעל דירה, פטורים ממס כל עוד סכומם אינו עולה על מחצית התמורה שיש לצפות לה ממכירת הדירה, ללא זכויות ההרחבה, ממוכר מרצון לקונה מרצון.
