שמאי מקרקעין המבקש שלא לעסוק בשומת מקרקעין רשאי להודיע למועצה, בכתב, על רצונו להתלות את רישומו בפנקס, לתקופה כפי שיפרט בהודעתו; מסר שמאי מקרקעין הודעה כאמור, יותלה רישומו בפנקס למשך התקופה שפורטה בהודעתו.
