Section 6 of תקנות המוזיאונים, התשמ״ה–1984, רישום מוצגים.
6. רישום מוצגים
(א)הנהלת מוזיאון תמנה רשם שיהיה אחראי לרישום המוצגים במוזיאון.
(ב)לגבי כל מוצג הנמצא במוזיאון ייערך רישום שייחתם ביד הרשם ויכלול את הפרטים הבאים:
(1)תיאור המוצג;
(2)שם בעלו של המוצג;
(3)הדרך בה הגיע המוצג למוזיאון;
(4)הסימן המזהה שנקבע למוצג;
(5)תאריך ביצועו של הרישום.
(ג)מוצג יירשם במועד הכנסתו למוזיאון ובמועד הוצאתו.
(ד)הסימן המזהה של המוצג ילווה אותו בכל רישום שיתייחס אליו באותו מוזיאון.
(ה)הרישום ייערך בשני העתקים שאחד מהם יישמר מחוץ לכתלי המוזיאון.
