תיקון: תשנ״ז־2
חבר מועצה הרוצה להתפטר מכהונתו ימסור הודעה בכתב על כך לראש המועצה וימציא העתק מהודעתו לחברי המועצה ולממונה על המחוז; ההתפטרות תקבל תוקף כעבור 48 שעות לאחר שהודעת ההתפטרות נמסרה לראש המועצה.
