מועצה מקומית תערוך בכל שנה תקציב בצורה שנקבעה, המראה את אומדן ההכנסה וההוצאה שלה; התקציב יוכן ויאושר על ידי המועצה לפי הוראות סעיף 206 לפקודת העיריות, בשינויים המחויבים, ואם היתה המועצה המקומית רובע של עיריה – על ידי העיריה.
