בתקופת תכנית ההגנה יערוך המנהל או עובד הרשות שהוא קבע לעניין זה, בשיתוף קצין המשטרה, הערכת סכנה מעודכנת בקשר לעד המוגן, במועדים ובדרך שייקבעו בנוהלי שיתוף הפעולה.
