10. התנדבות לשמירה
מי שאינו חייב בשמירה מכוח חוק זה רשאי להתנדב בכתב לשמירה, והחייב בשמירה רשאי להתנדב כאמור לשמירה נוספת על זו שהוא חייב בה, ומשעשה כן יהא דינה של השמירה או השמירה הנוספת, לכל דבר, כאילו קויימה מכוח חוק העזר או צו ההסדר, והממלא אותה יהיו לו כל הזכויות וישא בכל החובות הקבועות בחוק זה.
