4. מטרות המרכז
מטרות המרכז הן:
(1)לקדם את חקר תולדות העם היהודי בתפוצות ואת הפצתן;
(2)לטפח את התודעה ההיסטורית היהודית ברוח מורשתו של זלמן שזר, נשיאה השלישי של מדינת ישראל;
(3)לשקף את אישיותו של זלמן שזר כנשיא המדינה ואת פועלו ומורשתו.
