Section 16 of חוק שיקום מתמודדי נפש בקהילה, התש״ס–2000, ועדות ערר מחוזיות.
16. ועדות ערר מחוזיות
(א)השר יקים ועדות ערר מחוזיות ויקבע את אזור פעילותן.
(ב)כל ועדת ערר מחוזית תהיה בת חמישה חברים וזה הרכבה:
(1)אדם הכשיר להתמנות שופט שלום מתוך רשימה שערך שר המשפטים והוא יהיה היושב ראש;
(2)שלושה עובדים מקצועיים, כל אחד מתחום עיסוק שונה;
(3)נציג ציבור.
(ג)השר רשאי לקבוע כללים בדבר תנאי הכשירות לכהונה הנדרשים מחבר ועדת ערר, תקופת הכהונה וכללים להעברת חבר ועדת ערר מכהונתו.
