8. פקיעת כהונה
חבר המועצה יחדל לכהן לפני תום תקופת כהונתו באחת מאלה:
(1)התפטר במסירת כתב התפטרות לשר;
(2)הורשע בעבירה שמפאת מהותה, חומרתה או נסיבותיה אין הוא ראוי לשמש חבר המועצה;
(3)חדל להיות עובד המשרד הממשלתי או הגוף שאותו הוא מייצג במועצה.
