16. החזקת אסיר במעבר
(א)אישור בדבר מעבר אסיר בישראל כאמור בסעיף קטן 15(א), יהיה על פי אשרת מעבר שיתן שר הפנים.
(ב)בתקופת המעבר יוחזק האסיר במשמורת במקום שיורה נציב שירות בתי הסוהר; אשרת מעבר כאמור בסעיף קטן (א) תהווה אסמכתה חוקית להחזקתו במשמורת כאמור.
(ג)הוראות חוק ההסגרה, התשי״ד–1954, לא יחולו על אסיר במעבר.
