Section 3 of חוק הוקרה לאזרחים במערכות ישראל, התשע״ז–2017, הענקת אות מערכה לעובד או מתנדב בארגון עזר.
3. הענקת אות מערכה לעובד או מתנדב בארגון עזר
(א)קבע השר אות מערכה לפי סעיף 7 לחוק העיטורים, יעניק שר הממונה על ארגון עזר אות מערכה לעובד או מתנדב בארגון העזר, שעמד בתנאים שקבע אותו שר, באישור הממשלה; לעניין זה, ”ארגון עזר“ – כהגדרתו בחוק ההתגוננות האזרחית, למעט הרשות הארצית לכבאות והצלה.
(ב)הוראות סעיפים 8, 12 עד 14 ו־16 לחוק העיטורים יחולו גם על אות מערכה לפי סעיף זה, בשינויים המחויבים.
