בלי לגרוע מהוראות סעיף 9, התקבלה בבית דין רבני פניה לקבל חוות דעת הלכתית בענין הסדרת גט פיטורין בין בני זוג יהודים הנשואים כדין תורה שאינם נתונים לשיפוטו היחודי של בית הדין, או בענין היתר נישואין, רשאי נשיא בית הדין הרבני הגדול למנות הרכב של דיין אחד או יותר לשם מתן חוות הדעת.
