תיקון: תשכ״ג
נפטר בן־משפחה ובשעת מותו הגיעו לו תשלומים מכוח חוק זה, ישולמו הסכומים על אף האמור בדיני הירושה, לידי מי שבן־המשפחה הורה בכתב לקצין תגמולים; לא הורה – ישולמו לבן־זוגו ובאין בן־זוג – ליורשיו.
