הזכאות למעון יום תוחל, לפי הוראות חוק זה, בהדרגה, עד יום כ״ו בניסן התשס״ח (1 במאי 2008), על פי צווים שייתן השר, ובהתאם להוראות שייקבעו בהם, בהתייעצות עם ועדת העבודה הרווחה והבריאות של הכנסת.
