7. תיקון טעות
(א)הוברר כי נפלה טעות ברישומו של פרט רישום פלילי או של פרט רישום משטרתי, תתקן המשטרה את הטעות במרשם הפלילי או המשטרתי, לפי העניין.
(ב)תוקנה טעות כאמור בסעיף קטן (א), תמסור המשטרה הודעה על כך לאדם שהמידע עליו, ולמקבל המידע – אם הוא פנה לתיקון הטעות.
(ג)אין בהוראות סעיף קטן (ב) כדי לגרוע מסמכות המשטרה למסור הודעה למקבל המידע אף אם תיקון הטעות לא נבע מפנייתו.
