על אף הוראות סעיף 7(ב) ו־(ג) לחוק קליטת חיילים משוחררים, התשנ״ד–1994, בתקציב המדינה לשנת הכספים 2008 יתוקצב לקרן לסיוע נוסף הסכום המחושב לפי הסעיף האמור בניכוי 50 מיליון שקלים חדשים.
