18. הסמכת מפקחים
המנהל רשאי להסמיך, מקרב עובדי משרדו מפקח בסמכויות לפי חוק זה, ובלבד שהתקיימו בו כל אלה:
(1)משטרת ישראל הודיעה, לא יאוחר משלושה חודשים מיום קבלת פרטי העובד, כי אינה מתנגדת למינויו מטעמים של ביטחון הציבור, לרבות בשל עברו הפלילי;
(2)הוא קיבל הכשרה מתאימה, כפי שהורה השר;
(3)הוא עומד בתנאי כשירות נוספים, ככל שהורה השר.
