7. החזרת הוראה
על אף האמור בסעיף 40(1) לחוק לתיקון דיני העונשין (דרכי ענישה), תשי״ד–1954, יעמוד בתקפו סעיף 38 לפקודת החוק הפלילי, 1936, כאילו לא בוטל.
להלן נוסח סעיף 38 לפקודת החוק הפלילי, 1936, טרם ביטולו:
עונש מיתה יוטל ע״י תלית העברין בצוארו עד יציאת נשמתו.
