4. דרישת המשטרה למסירת האבידה
שוטר ידרוש מהמוצא למסור למשטרה אבידה שנתקיימה בה אחת מאלה:
(1)החזקתה בידי המוצא אסורה על פי דין;
(2)היא עלולה לסכן את בריאות הציבור או בטחונו;
(3)בגלל אופיה או נסיבות אובדנה או מציאתה יש למשטרה ענין בה;
(4)לאור ערכה הכספי מן הראוי שתישמר בידי המשטרה;
(5)לדעת השוטר טובת הציבור מחייבת את שמירתה במשטרה.
