15. תצהירים לאימות פטירה
(א)בקשה להוכחת עובדת מותו של אדם וזמן מותו תוגש לרשם או לבית המשפט כשהענין הועבר אליו לפי סעיף 67א לחוק, ותלווה בתצהירים של המבקש ושל אדם אחר, שבהם יפורטו נסיבות המוות וזמנו והטעמים המיוחדים לאי־המצאת תעודת הפטירה או הצהרת מוות.
(ב)בבדיקת הבקשה רשאי הרשם לעניני ירושה או בית המשפט, לפי הענין, לברר את העובדות המצוינות בתצהירים ורשאי הוא להזמין את המצהירים ולחקרם.
