5. תקופת כהונה
(א)תקופת כהונתה של מועצה היא חמש שנים.
(ב)מועצה קיימת תמשיך בתפקידה, אף אם תמה תקופת כהונתה לפי סעיף קטן (א), כל עוד לא נכנסה לתפקידה מועצה חדשה.
(ג)חבר מועצה אשר חדל מלכהן, ימונה חליפו כדרך שמונה הוא על פי סעיף 2א(ב)(3) לפקודה.
