הסכומים הנקובים בתקנות 4(א), 5(ב), יעודכנו ב־1 בינואר של כל שנה החל בשנת 1996, לפי שיעור השינוי במדד ביחס למדד הידוע ביום 1 בינואר של השנה שקדמה לה.
