10. בדיקת רישומים פליליים ומשמעתיים
לא יובא ענינו של מועמד לדיון לפני ועדת המינויים אלא לאחר שהמזכיר קיבל לגביו מידע מעודכן מן הרשויות המוסמכות, אם היו נגד המבקש הליכים משפטיים בבתי המשפט או בבתי דין ולאחר שבדק עם לשכת עורכי הדין אם היו הליכים משמעתיים של הלשכה נגדו; מידע כאמור יתייחס גם לזיכויים בדין ולתיקים תלויים ועומדים.
