5. יום האבחון
נוסף על האמור בסעיף 17א לחוק, יום האבחון הוא היום שבו נרשם החייל ברשימת המטופלים, המנוהלת בצבא הגנה לישראל בהתאם לפקודותיו, בשל הבעיה הרפואית שבגללה נמצא בלתי כשר לשירות; בתקנה זו, ”רשימת המטופלים“ – הרשימה המקובצת כמשמעותה בפקודות הצבא שבה נרשמים חיילים חולים או חיילים פצועים השוהים במיתקן רפואי.
