12. סייג לעניין רישום ראשון של רכב
על אף האמור בתקנות 5 ו־6, ביצוע בדיקות זיהום אוויר מרכב לא יהיה תנאי לרישום רכב חדש, במועד שבו הרכב נרשם לראשונה בישראל, כאשר אותו רכב נבדק לצורך רישומו במוסך של היבואן שייבא אותו לפי הוראות תקנה 273(ב1) לתקנות התעבורה.
