12. הסמכות להעמיד אדם לפיקוח המשטרה
תיקון: תש״ח
אם הובא אדם בפני ממונה על מחוז או נשיא בית משפט מחוזי עפ״י הוראות סעיף 2 מן הפקודה הזאת או על יסוד האשמה שהוא חשוד בגדר סעיף 3 מן הפקודה הזאת, והממונה על המחוז או נשיא בית המשפט המחוזי סבורים שיש לדרוש מאותו אדם ליתן ערבות על הנהגה טובה בגדר הפקודה הזאת, יכולים הם, במקום זה או נוסף על זה, לצוות להעמיד אותו לפיקוחה של המשטרה למשך תקופה שלא תעלה על שנה אחת.
