חייל שהועמד לדין משמעתי לפני קצין שיפוט זוטר, ישאלנו קצין השיפוט בתחילת הדיון אם ברצונו לעמוד לדין לפניו או לפני מפקדו של קצין השיפוט, שהוא קצין שיפוט בכיר; ביקש החייל לעמוד לדין לפני מפקדו של קצין השיפוט, יעביר קצין השיפוט את הדין כמבוקש.
