תיקון: תשס״ה
המפקח הראשי רשאי לאשר מרחקים קטנים מאלה שנקבעו בתקנות 20 ו־21 והוא רשאי להתיר סטיה מהקיבולת האמורה בתקנה 22(ו) ומהוראת תקנה 23(ב) אם לאחר התייעצות עם רשות הכבאות בכל האמור במניעת אש וכיבוי אש הנסיבות מצדיקות זאת לדעתו.
