ג. שליח־בית־הדין
(1)לכל הרכב בית דין ימונה שליח־בית־דין; שליח־בית־הדין ישמש גם נציג מערך הגיור באזור פעילותו.
(2)לאחר הגשת הבקשה לגיור יערוך שליח־בית־דין ריאיון מפורט עם המועמד, ואם יש לו בן זוג, גם עם בן זוגו; ככל שיידרש, יפנה שליח־בית־הדין את המועמד, ללימודים לקראת גיור באחד הגופים העוסקים בכך.
(3)הגיע לידי שליח־בית־דין מידע המעלה חשש כי הגיור המבוקש קשור למעשים המנוגדים לחוק, יביא מידע זה לידיעת בית הדין.
