Section 2 of תקנות המשטרה (מקום המגורים), 1936, הרשות למפקח הכללי לדרוש מפקידים שיתגוררו במקום שייציין.
2. הרשות למפקח הכללי לדרוש מפקידים שיתגוררו במקום שייציין
הרשות למפקח הכללי:
(א)לדרוש מכל איש מאנשי חיל המשטרה לגור בכל חלק מחלקי הארץ ובכל שכונה או אזור שבכל עיר או כפר;
(ב)לדרוש מכל איש מאנשי חיל המשטרה לגור באותו מרחק מן התחנה הראשית שלו, או מפלוגתו, או ממשרדו או ממשמרו, ככל אשר ימצא לנכון לקבוע;
(ג)לדרוש מכל שוטר נשוי לגור בכל בית ממשלתי מסויים המשמש מעון לשוטרים נשואים או בכל בנין שכור, ולשלם שכר דירה בעדו, ככל אשר תקבע הממשלה.
