1. בחינת בקשה שנתקבלה במשרד הבינלאומי
סמוך ככל האפשר לאחר שקיבל הרשם מהמשרד הבינלאומי הודעה שכינוי מקור פלוני של ארץ־חוץ נרשם בפנקס הבינלאומי, יצווה על עריכת הבדיקה כאמור בסעיף 17 לחוק ויודיע על תוצאותיה, כאמור בסעיפים 18 או 19 לחוק, למשרד הבינלאומי, בטפסים שנקבעו על ידי המועצה שנתכוננה על פי הסדר ליסבון בדבר הגנת כינויי מקור ורישומם הבינלאומי.
